1. Standard we target
We design and test Salf against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the W3C. Where relevant, we also consider Ontario's Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Accessible Canada Act.
2. Current conformance status
As of the date above, we consider Salf to be partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA. "Partially conformant" means some parts of the product do not yet fully meet the standard, and we are actively working on them.
Recent accessibility work includes:
- Increasing text and interactive-control color contrast to meet AA thresholds.
- Adding accessible names to icon-only buttons and menus.
- Making forms keyboard-operable and surfacing validation errors as text.
- Providing visible focus outlines on interactive elements.
- Adding alt text and labels to key marketing and product imagery.
3. Known limitations
We are aware of the following areas where accessibility may fall short of WCAG 2.1 AA. We are prioritizing remediation on all of them:
- Some data-dense screens (campaign results, activity feeds, and the operations dashboard) may be difficult to navigate with a screen reader or at very high zoom levels.
- Some chart and status visualizations rely on colour to convey meaning; we are adding textual equivalents.
- Third-party embeds — most notably Stripe's hosted checkout and billing portal — follow their own accessibility conformance, which we do not control.
- Emails generated by the AI reflect the writing style requested by the customer; we do not currently guarantee reading-level or plain-language conformance of AI-generated outbound content.
4. Assistive technology tested
We test on current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge on macOS and Windows. We test with VoiceOver on macOS and NVDA on Windows, and with keyboard-only navigation. Mobile-Safari and Chrome-Android are tested informally.
5. Requesting accommodations or reporting a barrier
If you cannot use part of Salf because of an accessibility barrier, or you need information from Salf in an alternative format, please contact us at accessibility@salf.ai. We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 5 business days and to provide an alternative means of access or a remediation timeline.
6. Ongoing improvement
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We include accessibility checks in design and code review, and we update this statement when the scope of conformance changes materially.
