Acceptable Use Policy

Effective date: July 2, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules for using the Salf AI service ("Service"). By using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP in addition to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Violations may result in throttling, suspension, or termination of your account.

1. Prohibited conduct

You must not, and must not permit any third party to, use the Service to:

  • Send spam. Send unsolicited bulk email, messages with misleading subject lines, or any content that violates applicable anti-spam laws (including CAN-SPAM, CASL, and analogous regulations).
  • Engage in unlawful outreach. Contact individuals or entities without a lawful basis or required consent, or in violation of any marketing, telemarketing, or privacy law.
  • Harass or abuse. Send threatening, harassing, defamatory, hateful, sexually explicit, discriminatory, or otherwise abusive content.
  • Phish or defraud. Send phishing messages, malware, ransomware, or any content intended to deceive recipients into divulging credentials, payment information, or personal data.
  • Impersonate. Falsify sender identity, spoof email headers, pretend to be another person or organization, or use fake unsubscribe mechanisms.
  • Use deceptive subject lines. Use subject lines that misrepresent the content or purpose of the message.
  • Use scraped or illegally obtained lists. Upload, import, or send to contact lists obtained through scraping, harvesting, purchasing without consent, or any other method that violates a third party's terms or applicable law.
  • Violate marketing or privacy laws. Breach CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR, UK GDPR, ePrivacy, CCPA/CPRA, PIPEDA, or any other applicable marketing, privacy, data-protection, or consumer-protection law.
  • Send to unsubscribed or suppressed contacts. Contact individuals who have unsubscribed, opted out, or been placed on a suppression or Do-Not-Contact list, whether inside or outside of Salf.
  • Bypass rate limits or quotas. Circumvent or attempt to circumvent send caps, daily quotas, rate limits, autonomy gates, authentication, or any other operational restriction designed to protect the Service or its users.
  • Abuse AI features. Submit content designed to manipulate, jailbreak, or exploit the Service's AI components, including prompt-injection attempts, adversarial inputs, or requests intended to generate harmful, illegal, or misleading output.
  • Scrape or reverse engineer. Scrape, crawl, harvest, probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service; reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service; or attempt to derive source code, models, prompts, weights, or underlying ideas.
  • Attack infrastructure. Distribute denial-of-service attacks, inject malicious code, interfere with the Service's networks or servers, or otherwise disrupt the integrity or availability of the Service.
  • Use for illegal, harmful, or discriminatory purposes. Use the Service in connection with illegal activities, fraud, adult content, gambling, weapons, illegal drugs, pyramid schemes, cryptocurrency token sales, payday lending, or any purpose that promotes discrimination, hate, or violence.
  • Process sensitive personal data without authorization. Upload or process health information, financial account data, government IDs, or other categories of sensitive personal data unless you have obtained explicit consent and are expressly authorized to do so under your agreement with Salf.
  • Make regulated decisions. Use the Service to make legal, financial, tax, employment, accounting, regulatory, medical, or similarly regulated decisions. The Service is an automation tool, not a professional advisor.
  • Resell without permission. Resell, sublicense, white-label, or provide access to the Service to third parties without Salf's prior written authorization.

2. Monitoring and enforcement

Salf reserves the right to monitor usage patterns, message content (to the extent necessary to detect abuse), account activity, and API calls for compliance with this AUP. We may use automated systems and human review.

If we reasonably believe you have violated this AUP, we may take any action we consider appropriate, including but not limited to:

  • Throttling, rate-limiting, or blocking sends, API calls, or other features.
  • Suspending or terminating your account, with or without prior notice.
  • Removing, disabling, or quarantining campaigns, drafts, contact lists, or other content.
  • Revoking OAuth grants and disconnecting third-party integrations.
  • Reporting activity to law-enforcement authorities, regulators, or affected third parties (including email providers and data partners).

3. User responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content, targeting, frequency, and lawfulness of every message, meeting invite, and campaign sent through the Service. You must ensure that:

  • You have a lawful basis (including consent where required) to contact every recipient.
  • Your sender identity information (legal name, company, physical mailing address) is accurate and complete.
  • You honor all opt-outs, unsubscribe requests, and suppression lists promptly.
  • Your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws in every jurisdiction where you operate or where your recipients are located.

Salf provides tools to help you comply (e.g., unsubscribe links, suppression lists, send caps, audit logs), but their availability does not relieve you of your independent legal obligations.

4. Cooperation

You agree to cooperate with any investigation into suspected violations, including providing records, explanations, and access logs upon reasonable request.

5. Changes to this AUP

We may update this AUP as the Service evolves. When we make material changes we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in-product or by email. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
